Time To Learn To Make The Coffee

Last night, MOTL and I were watching the news and they had a promo blurb about Starbucks shutting down. He said they closed because they needed to learn to make coffee. Well, that is exactly why they shut down. We find that very funny because all they have to do to make the coffee is to push a button. Are their employees completely dumb? If not, then why spend three hours teaching people how to push a button? Of course your coffee can't improve unless you use higher quality coffee beans. In the end, their strange marketing ploy wont improve their coffee because their coffee beans are crap. And their coffee is completely overpriced. So they can focus on their coffee all they want, I still wont go there.

Ya gotta admit, it got us all talking. I haven't been to a Starbucks in well... uh. I personally don't see why people are so stuck on the them.

mad: I'll have to take your word for it, I buy Ruta Maya at the Costco.

jill: I don't either. Too expensive and tastes like crap!

Personally, I think they need to remove the crack from their coffee. I mean, yes, the coffee is crap. But for what other reason than crack would people pay that kind of money and wait in those line ups?

I think they closed down because the drug squad is onto them.

Just another *baked* opinion :)

huckdoll: I've often wondered why people think it is so great to buy $5 coffee that sucks. And that would explain it.

I would totally agree except I have this constant nagging craving for their Honey Soy Latte. I'm sad to admit that they have me hooked.

do you live in Hawaii...I think I remember blogging with you several years ago, but your blog was a different pineapple name then...maybe I have you confused with someone else.

slade: that sounds really good in theory. I might have to try that at a different coffee shop because that does sound like it could be a new addiction for me.

I'm from Texas and have never even been to Hawaii. Must have been an impostor pineapple you were dealing with because it wasn't me.
